Optimise your tap water for better coffee! This filter removes limescale as well as substances such as lead, chlorine, and copper from your water, while enriching it with magnesium. If you enjoy light and fruity coffees, you'll notice a significant improvement with softer water. Your espresso machine or coffee maker will benefit too, as softer water helps reduce limescale build-up. Here in Ystad, we measured the alkalinity of our tap water—the most important water parameter for brewing coffee. Straight from the tap, it measured around 125 ppm, which is far too high and results in a rather flat-tasting cup. After filtering with the BWT filter, the alkalinity drops to around 50 ppm, which is ideal for brewing coffee.

The jug has a 2.7-litre capacity, and each filter cartridge can treat up to 120 litres of water before it needs to be replaced. For most households, this means replacing the filter approximately every two months.
